Greg Secker Shares his Success through Personal Foundation

Greg Secker is an English entrepreneur, recognized for his expertise in foreign currency trading. He has written several books on FOREX trading, including Financial Freedom Through Forex and Trading Your Way to Success. He has started several companies FX Capital, SmartCharts Software, Capital Index, and Learn to Trade. He founded his non-profit company, The Greg Secker Foundation.


Secker was born and raised in Norfolk England. He studied Agricultural and Food Sciences at the University of Nottingham. He worked as a trading technologist with Thomas Cook Financial Services, during the mid-90s, developing foreign exchange systems. He is credited with developing the Virtual Trading Desk, a platform that allows for online forex trading. It was the first of its kind. He soon became a Vice President with Mellon Financial Corp., working with some of the most experienced and successful financial traders in the market.


In 2003, he left Mellon to become a full-time Forex trader. He achieved enough success with trading that he had the choice of a number of different career options. He started training others to become successful traders. He mentors people who want to become traders, through his organization Knowledge to Action. Greg Secker spoke at the National Achievers Congress in 2011. He has trained over 100,000 people with various trading seminars and workshops.


In 2017, he was recognized for his Outstanding Individual Corporate Leadership by National Corporate, Responsibility and Sustainability (CSR). He has offices in London, Sydney, Cape Town and Johannesburg. He has given talks on CNBC and Bloomberg financial channels.


He is very active with philanthropy. He has supported the Royal Princes’ causes, Tusk and the Child Bereavement Trust. In 2011, he set up his own personal foundation for charitable giving. The foundation focuses on education, life skills and youth leadership. The organization includes The Christmas Basket Brigade, Youth Mentoring Program, Early Childhood Program (in South Africa) and the Flying Trader program. All of these programs are geared towards supporting children in need and people in need. After Typhoon Yolanda, Secker set up the “Build a House, Build a Home” project in the Philippines. They aimed to build 100 permanent homes in Lemery. Greg was included on the list of the “200 Most Influential Philanthropists for 2017.
